Susie Meister

A Writer, Podcast Host, and Reality TV Personality with a PhD in Religious Studies.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Susie Meister joined MTV’s Road Rules: Australia right after high school, which led to Road Rules: Viewers Revenge and six Real World/Road Rules Challenges. Her on-air winnings all went towards her education, and she completed her PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014. Her writing has been featured in the Huffington Post, Vox, Salon and Jezebel, and she has been an on-air contributor for PBS/WQED’s OnQ, editor of Maniac Magazine, featured in local and national advertising campaigns, and participated in Pittsburgh’s TEDxGrandviewAve. Her Thinking Inside The Box presentation explored how anyone feeling stuck in their circumstances can use their existing talent and resources to create something new that will enhance their personal and professional life.

Susie is the co-founder of the WAVE Podcast Network, which currently produces seven shows, and she hosts the Brain Candy Podcast alongside fellow Challenge competitor Sarah Rice. She also regularly blogs on her website, The Gospel of Susie.
