Kevin Howard began his musical career as a contemporary jazz pianist and keyboardist over twenty years ago. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Kevin taught himself how to play in his young years, though he credits Pittsburgh’s fine jazz educator, Carl Arter, with whom he studied. Kevin is the founder of the award-winning contemporary smooth jazz group Serious Inquiry, with whom he served as Pittsburgh’s WJJJ Smooth Jazz Band for more than two years. Kevin has shared the stage with well-known jazz artists George Benson, Marion Meadows, Najee, Roy Ayers, Dwayne Dolphin, Kenny Blake, Roger Humphries and many more. Kevin Howard’s jazz sound is tantalizingly smooth, with a performance style that projects energy and charisma. Kevin entertains with solo performances on keyboards or backed by his full band.
